You may have pegged Atlanta's OG Maco as a screaming crunk revivalist upon the viral success of his single "U Guessed It" earlier this year. Guess again: Maco's been revealing a softer, more thoughtful side recently; on his BREATHE EP, he even got political, responding to America's ongoing civil rights issues, with lyrics like, "For there is a promise land not yet seen except in dreams / And for that we fiend / And bleed / And live / And sin / With the hope we might know freedom through more than our white friends." Looks like Maco's much deeper than we may have initially given him credit for. He continues his soft streak on new loosie "Night Like This." Produced by Ricky P, it's a dim-lit ode to nights you can barely remember, but there's a mournful undertone to the song. Stream it below.
