Last night, Madonna announced her 13th album, Rebel Heart, by dropping six new tracks on Spotify out of the blue. “I was hoping to release my new single ‘Living for Love’ on Valentine’s Day with the rest of the album coming in the spring,” she said. “I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift.” (Earlier this week, a collection of leaked tracks allegedly comprising her entire unfinished album hit the Internet, though she dismissed them as "unfinished demos stolen long ago.") Rebel Heart is set for release March 10, with production from Kanye West, Mike Dean, and Diplo; you receive the six new tracks with iTunes pre-order.
Of the six new tracks, you probably gravitated towards "Bitch I'm Madonna" featuring Madge's 2012 Super Bowl co-performer Nicki Minaj. Is the chipmunk-voiced, drop-filled track worth it just to hear Nicki purr "Bitch I'm Madonna"? You be the judge.
