Decade Of Viper LP

This year has seen a slew of drum & bass labels celebrate an important birthday. Hospital Records turned eighteen, which drew significance as that is the UK legal clubbing age, and now both Shogun Audio and Viper Recordings have made it to a decade. The latter, founded by producer and DJ Futurebound back in 2004, has seen quite a remarkable ten years. The imprint was a trailblazer for dnb hitting commercial success, with releases from Brookes Brothers and Matrix & Futurebound moving into UK chart success this year. The gang have chosen to mark their birthday with a new compilation—Decade Of Viper—that summarizes the journey from Viper classics to a string of unheard exclusives. Artists such as Sigma and Nero released music through the label when they were establishing themselves, whilst today's fresh talent includes producers such as BMotion, Six Blade, and The Prototypes. From the exclusives, we're digging Futurebound & Gridlok's "Go Free" and new signing Cyantific's "Bring You Love." The album is a brilliant celebration of old and new—it's safe to say that at a decade in, Viper are stronger than ever.
