BJ The Chicago Kid is back with visuals for a cut from his recently released M.A.F.E. mixtape. "It's True," produced by Mike N Keys, features a simple clean electric guitar riff and crashing drums. BJ, who adopts a screwed-up delivery for his verses, and Schoolboy Q paint pictures of their troubled streets using their wit, but also their chill. There's a message through their rhymes if you're with the vibe. Not many artists would nonchalantly rap, "ATF be on that sucka shit/They hate a black n**** when getting money's involved," as Schoolboy does on "It's True." (Better yet, Q raps his verse while preparing and then eating a bucket of fried chicken.)
Verluxe directs the above video, which appropriately takes us for a walk around BJ's block. Peep the dope little special effects corresponding with BJ and Q's gesticulations.
