Eminem's "Detroit Vs. Everybody" was epic. Everybody was on it. Royce Da 5'9", Danny Brown, Big Sean, and Trick Trick each did their damn thing. Eminem's curation and dope final verse brought the monstrous track together—they put on for Detroit, beat their chests, and showed off the hip-hop versatility of Motown's city. Their dare demanded a response. New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Florida, Toronto, and Houston, and many, many, many other cities and states have hip-hop flagships. ONE city was bound to respond eventually. Now, Detroit's dare has been answered.
Snoop Dogg's taken up the "Everybody" part of Detroit's challenge by carrying the torch for L.A. Dr. Dre and Kurupt hold it down for the OGs; The Game and Crooked I are so, so, so L.A.; Kendrick Lamar, YG, Tyler the Creator, Nip$ey Hussle, Dom Kennedy, and Problem are out here for the latest and greatest generation of West Coast rappers.
There's no word on when Snoop will let this one out—it might take him a minute to get all those verses together.
