Nicki Minaj's role as one of music's elite artists shouldn't be questioned, at least if her comments in the sneak peek of her upcoming Billboard magazine feature are any indication.

Her successes have seen her earn the most Billboard Hot 100 hits of any female rapper (with her new single "Only" adding to this number) and an overall ranking of number five amongst female artists overall next to legends like Aretha Franklin and Madonna

Nicki's behind the scenes work ethic is hectic, as she tells Billboard that she's on "15 to 25 conference calls every few days" just to strategize with her team. She adds to this by singling out a stereotype that is present with female artists: "Sometimes as women in the industry -- if you're sexy or like doing sexy things -- some people subconsciously negate your brain. They think you're stupid."

She does slide in a mention about her new album, which drops December 15, in the sneak peek saying that "[The Pinkprint] is going to be important to hip-hop."
