Rap and politics have gone hand in hand since the beginning of hip-hop culture. From Public Enemy's civil rights anthem "Fight The Power" to Young Thug voting for Obama, rappers have always been involved in politics in some fashion. Today, Rappcats unearthed a video of a 19-year-old MF DOOM ( Zev Love X) speaking to the Senate on behalf of "Rock The Vote." The video, which was recorded back in 1991, shows Doom  and his former KMD group member, Onyx, speaking to the Senate about voter registration procedures. MF DOOM details the importance of young people getting involved in politics, and how he got involved with "Rock The Vote."
