Yesterday we showed you Eric Sharp’s dope house versions of Melanie Martinez’ “Carousel,” but today we have something a little different. The Bay Area’s Bleep Bloop–a DAD favorite–has his own official version as well and it’s what we’ve come to expect: awesome weirdness. It’s definitely a more restrained sound then he has normally delivered for his own material, but in playing the big league remix game, Bleep Bloop artfully balances infusing his own style with something more mainstream friendly. The quality of Bleep’s work though doesn’t suffer at all and for me at least, provides a great context and appreciation for his original music. The original version of this song is very good, yes, and so are Sharp’s versions, but this is my personal steez for those solo late night writing sessions.
