Mystikal has been out of jail since 2010, but this may be the most lively we've heard from the gritty New Orleans rapper since his release. Producer Mark Ronson and Mystikal premiered "Feel Right" alongside Bruno Mars with a dazzling Saturday Night Live performance over the weekend, and the retro-grade lyric video for the track has arrived today.

Serving as the second release from Ronson's upcoming album Uptown Special, "Feel Right" continues the big-band funk that the album's first single, "Uptown Funk" possessed. Mystikal's gritty, scored-earth-toned voice floats perfectly over Ronson's infectiously shoulder-bopping beat. It's so good that you almost feel upset for Mystikal—it took four years a collaboration with Mark Ronson for one of New Orleans' best to finally hop on a track that actually used him to the best of his abilities.

It's no wonder that Mystikal exclaims, "I'm back! Say it again! Feel right in this!" Quite literally, Mystikal sounded and felt "right" on Ronson's track, with the "Feel Right" chorus perhaps serving as an indicator of where Mystikal may be headed next. If Ronson's mix of modern production and throwback funk is what Mystikal has needed all along, we'll give Mystikal more than a second to "wipe my sweat."

Let's hope he doesn't cool down though—"Feel Right" is too powerful, and Mystikal is too felicitous here to not warrant more of his funky side from being shown.
