It’s been a minute since Pelican Fly released their stellar Feathers compilation, but the label hasn’t stopped with dope releases since. Even just looking at PF’s summer, Nadus had his poignantly euphoric and explosive Broke City EP and Lido had his own kind of wonderful with his I Love You EP–the label is clearly having a good year. The year isn’t over, though, and so now as they prepare to drop Australian pelican Lucid’s new Heartagram EP next week, Pelican Fly and Lucid have also decided to give away new freebie single called "Werk Wit It.”
Now this track isn’t on the Heartagram EP, which after listening to the promo I can say is it’s own twisted mixture of sparkly club music, dirty-as-dirt rave music, and wonky and wobbly beat madness, but it is wild. If you don’t believe me, you need to start by checking out the music video above. It’s a an intense video with all kinds of tweaking, daggering, booty-poppin, and pop-lock-and-dropping all set to the sounds of some ghetto-influenced genre-breaking beat craziness.
