Lazers meet razors on Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso's dynamic acid house lead single "Can't Hold Us Down" from their forthcoming debut duo artist album coming in 2015. If looking for more of the ethereal, yet funky and ravey progressive house made famous by Swedish House Mafia, that's not what this one is at all. Heavy, body-jacking power synths and a propulsive bassline dominate this single, a move from the duo's hard electro work with Steve Angello in tow. Premiered as the "Hottest Record In The World" by Zane Lowe, this one definitely fits in the conversation regarding Lowe's 2014 proclamation that “I was lucky enough to go down to the studio this week, listen to a whole bunch of songs. It’s going to be incredible. It’s a whole new era for these two.” Though there is no words as to a date for the release of their artist album, it's clear that with tracks like these, Def Jam's move into EDM must be regarded with serious attention being paid.
