After breaking into the game playing keyboards for The Roots, Scott Storch ascended into the top ranks of hip-hop production by helping Dr. Dre craft a revitalized new sound in the late ‘90s and early 2000s. And when Storch struck out on his own, it became clear how much his piano work and dramatic string loops contributed to the billion-dollar Aftermath sound.
