Today, Virginia-via-Colombia singer Kali Uchis drops the first single off her upcoming project Por Vida EP, "Know What I Want." In the video, she gives the ultimate punishment to one of her boy toys, leaving him tied up and alone on a dirt road. Although the storyline in the video is pretty intense, Kali's voice is what really stands out. Her soulful singing over the ska production from Virginia producer Bunx is reminiscent of an early No Doubt track, and that's never a bad thing. The way she sings, "All up, in my phone/Boy leave, it alone/And I'm learning, now I know/Should have left your ass in the friend zone" will keep every boyfriend away from wifey's iPhone forever.

Kali co-directed the video with Chris Black, a Los Angeles based producer/director who shot A$AP Rocky's "Peso" and Earl Sweatshirt's "EARL." Check out the video above and make sure to check out Kali's newest project Por Vida EP, which features production from Tyler, The Creator, when it drops in 2015.
