Fences is prepping to release their sophomore album Lesser Oceans at the top of next year. The indie rock group has released a handful of records off the project thus far, including "Songs About Angels," "The Lake," and "Arrows," a spirited collaboration alongside fellow Seattleites Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Fences brainchild Christopher Mansfield has built a solid foundation by sharing his personal narrative throughout these latest releases, giving listeners a fisheye lens view of his struggles with life and love, which in turn makes for some damn good material.

That wonderful connection continues on "Dusty Beds," which Complex premieres today. The record is filled with coded references to a relationship that has an ebb and flow effect on Mansfield, but ultimately he yearns for something real. "Roll over, and touch me baby/Nothing ever happens on dusty beds," he croons over the sweet-sounding backdrop. "This is the first piece I wrote for Lesser Oceans," Christopher says of their latest release. "I used an old photographer friend as a muse. Things left still gather dust. The song is a calm tragedy and a pillow fight."

Lesser Oceans will be released January 13, 2015 on Elektra Records. Starting tomorrow, those who pre-order the album on iTunes will receive "Dusty Beds" as an instant grat track. Fences will be hitting the road later this week with Bear Hands for a 15-date tour that goes through mid-November. The band will then join Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness on a tour that runs through the end of November. For full dates, visit Fences' official website.
