It's been over a year since we last heard much from Dillon Cooper. We profiled him in September 2013 on the strength of his debut mixtape Cozmik. Since, it's been a lowkey year for Cooper, who prepped this latest mixtape with last month's video for "Warning Shots." With the release of his sophomore project X:XX, it appears that Cooper's ready to reintroduce himself to us, and have his say over rap conversation and debate in 2014.

The young Brooklyn MC offers lyrically dexterous raps with impressive polish. On X:XX, Cooper delivers with fifteen new tracks of straight-up waxing over traditional boom-bap instrumentals (as on "Dark Knight") and a few more experimental sequences that see Cooper expanding on his sound and technique.

Look out for features from Azizi Gibson, A La Sole, and Denzel Curry, and stream X:XX below.
