Premiere: Listen to Black EL's "Do Not Disturb" f/ Michael Christmas

Produced by Durkin.

Between Black EL, Michael Christmas, Cousin Stizz and many more, Boston is churning out some phenomenal up-and-comers in the game. Today, Black EL and Michael Christmas link up on "Do Not Disturb," a tale of growing up in the city but from two entirely different perspectives. Over hypnotizing production from Durkin, EL grasps the beat with some spitfire lines about growing up in the suburbs but having dreams beyond home, while Christmas vents about his own struggles. The chemistry between the two is undeniable so hopefully we'll hear more soon.

"I hit a turning point at 19 because it was the first time I was getting a sense of independence away at college, while still dealing with being treated like a kid at home in the suburbs," Black EL said over email. "It was also when I started seriously pursuing music. Years later, I got to know Michael Christmas who was just starting to push his music. At the time I was making my project, he was 19, but had a totally different experience growing up in the city. This track is a reflection on what it's like to be carefree and misunderstood at 19, from two different perspectives."
