Premiere: Watch Karen Harding's Video For "Say Something"

The opening shots in an dingy underground car park are the perfect visual rendering of Karen Harding's hauntingly atmospheric vocals on her lead single, "Say Something", out on November 9. From there, the car park gradually transforms into a dingy, warehouse-type club faintly lit by a few neon lights that seem to mirror the progression of the track into an upbeat garage number.

Like the track for which this was made, the "Say Something" video, despite its apparent simplicity, works in three acts: the first being a minimal section featuring little more than vocals and a darkly lit space, the second being the introduction of the driving garage beat where she finds herself increasingly lit up, and the third where the tempo rises and Harding is joined by some impeccably choreographed clubbers.

It's clear from the outset that whoever is responsible for this video worked very closely with Harding and MNEK, who handled production on the single, as the shifts in mood and tempo are painstakingly represented with some of the most strikingly bold and simple visuals ever seen in a music video.
