Oscar Wylde of Caked Up Punched Crizzly in the Face at Foam Wonderland

Maybe Labor Day Weekend was cursed for EDM. With this recent incident at Foam Wonderland adding onto a four-day stretch that included Dillon Francis requiring stitches after being hit by a can by a "fan" and Day 3 of Electric Zoo 2014 being canceled due to severe weather, it feels like something was in the air above the entire scene. Or, based on some reports, joking around turned into a small fight real quick.

Up above you see a 37-second video featuring Caked Up performing at Foam Wonderland on Saturday, August 30. While what caused this incident has not been revealed, what we see is as follows: Crizzly is reaching underneath a table during Caked Up's performance to grab a cellphone. He then touches something on the mixer and walks out of the camera's line of sight. Caked Up's Oscar Wylde follows Crizzly, and someone else walks toward wherever they are. You then see Oscar being moved back to the DJ table, with a few men standing in front of him, with Oscar looking visibly pissed of. Oscar then gets on the mic and says something to the effect of "just punched Crizzly in the face," while looking in the direction Crizzly walked off, pointing directly at the mixer.

While it was originally reported that both Crizzly and Oscar Wylde were intoxicated, Crizzly made it a point to tweet otherwise:

Your EDM says that one source claims that "Oscar was indeed picking on Chris the entire night during his set due to him drinking from before and Crizzly also saying 'payback was a bitch,'" which could have possibly caused Oscar to slap Crizzly's phone out of his hand, which might have been what lead up to the footage captured up above. Whatever the case may be, violence shouldn't be the answer, which is the gist of this statement from Wylde: “I’d like to publicly say that what happened was a heated incident that escalated and violence is not a resolution no matt what I’m pissed that I let myself do that. I love my music so much and I didn’t want my set interrupted for the 10th time in front of 2k people.” Although he also tweeted this:

Now outside of the obvious "EDM DRAMA" and whatnot, Your EDM also brings up a good point: both Crizzly and Caked Up are managed by the Warpath Group. They're also both booked at Mystik Sanctuary this coming weekend in Oklahoma City. They have time to have a proper sit down and get things square, and return to being friends. As of right now, this is a bad look. Just like attendees shouldn't be throwing cans of soda at DJs during their performance, fans shouldn't have to see DJs going back and forth, especially to the point when violence ensues. Hopefully both parties can work this out.
