Earlier this week, word hit the Internet that Rob da Bank has returned to curate the massive soundtrack for Microsoft's Forza Horizon 2. At over 150 tracks, the soundtrack is double the size of the first edition, and features material from a number of acts we love, as well as imprints we cover. Aside from Ninja Tune and Innovative Leisure getting in on it, Rob called on Hospital Records to craft their own radio station for the game, appropriately-titled Hospital Records Radio.
In looking over the tracklist, I get those goosebumps like I did when GTA III hit us with Moving Shadow's MSX station. Pure drum & bass from one of the scene's finest? It screams my name—and I don't even own an Xbox!
While Hospital is 18 years young, the material on this station isn't older than 2010, but properly highlights the progressive nature of the imprint. From London Elektricity and Fred V & Grafx to Keeno and Reso, Hospital Records Radio showcases the evolving sound that falls under the Hospital umbrella. We found that the majority of the station's tunes are online (save for two Nu:Tone tunes and a Metrik track), but we decided to give you an idea of what you'll be hearing on this station when the game touches down.
Keeno - "Nocturne"
Label: Med School
Year: 2013
Word from Hospital is that this is the record playing during the "press start" screen, which hopefully means it's accompanied by beautiful scenery and detailed automobile shots. Calm before the storm music.
London Elektricity - "Yikes!"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2011
This might be THE tune to put on during a particularly gritty race. Full-on rivalry mode.
High Contrast - "The Road Goes On Forever"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2012
One of those epic building records that plays while you're analyzing a particularly mental track, thinking "what the hell did I select this course for?!"
Camo & Krooked ft. Ian Shaw - "Move Around"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2013
This is one of those anthems that will get your heart racing. Proper pedal to the metal bliss.
Danny Byrd ft. St. Louis - "Like A Byrd"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2013
Something about this tune has us immediately thinking about staring off into the bright skylines in the game while whipping corners.
Keeno - "Out Of Nowhere"
Label: Med School

This could quite possibly soothe your fury when you realize that that drive snuck up "out of nowhere" to pass you.
Etherwood ft. Rocky Nti - "Spoken (S.P.Y Remix)"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
Is this the soundtrack for those who might be tailing the racer in #1 position?
Fred V & Grafix - "Hydra"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
Coasting around corners to this while you're in first will be so damn epic.
Fred V & Grafix - "Recognise"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
A tune so intricate and subdued that you might get lost in it and realize you're further back than you need to be!
Logistics ft. Lifford - "Seasons"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
Another one that would sound stellar while overlooking the vast horizons in the game—but if you get lost in the tune, you could get lost in the game!
Logistics - "Somersaults"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
We'd love to see an expertly-edited video of nothing but Forza Horizon 2 in-game crashes to this tune.
Metrik - "Slipstream"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
Raucous 303-laced banger for some focused, hyper competition.
Netsky - "Love Life"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
One of those tunes that might bring tears to your eyes if you properly nail one of those come-from-behind victories in a hard-fought race.
Rawtekk - "Photone Recruits (Phace Remix)"
Label: Med School
Year: 2014
Without knowing it, Phace knocked out a tune that sounds like your car's engine when its revving up.
RESO - "Break 'Em"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
You might have to hit pause and strategize how you're going to crush your competition to a tune like this.
Royalston - "Lunar"
Label: Med School
Year: 2014
This one's for the serious head-to-head competitors; no messing about, just pure skills and adrenaline.
S.P.Y ft. Total Science & Grimm - "Cold Harsh Air"
Label: Hospital Records
Year: 2014
Finally, a soundtrack for the "agony of defeat." Replay value's way up with this title, though, so get back in the driver's seat and race on!
