Moving to LA has been great, running into Evol Intent's Gigantor is always a pleasure, and it seems like I can't go a week without giving the man a giant bear hug. We've bumped into each other at the Hospital Records show at Complex, the Pendulum and Mayhem show at Exchange, and at a random pool party, and I haven't even been here for two weeks. Beyond his posi-vibes, the man still cares deeply about the scene, and still makes breathtaking drum & bass. He's releasing original records with Evol Intent and has been mastering old records at a furious pace, a large chunk of the most recent wares have been downloadable, and he's truly carving his name out in history while everyone else seems to be hopping from bandwagon to bandwagon. His latest is a dnb edit of Milo & Otis' remix of Elliphant and Skrillex's "Only Getting Younger," and it's tough as nails.
