While I won't say that DAD was the first place people heard Codes' "Brooklyn bounce" term, it was the term that was applied to his exclusive DAD mix last August. And while he could've made a bootleg of a throwback house tune in this vein, it's always dope to hear that he actually went in and got Janelle Kroll to lend a vocal to this jam. Taken from his Brooklyn Bounce album, this is the kind of soul-drenched sound that you can expect from Codes, combining that NYC-centric club sound with some 2014 production aesthetic. With the album due out on September 30, you can actually pre-order the project and receive this tune before Tuesday. We highly recommend you do that, then get into the project as a whole.
