Queens native and Dreamville rapper Bas spoke with us at the Philly portion of this year's Made In America festival. Bas, J. Cole, and the rest of their squad traveled out to Ferguson during the height of the protests surrounding Michael Brown's death to observe and interact with the people of the small Missouri community.  We asked Bas to give us his take on the protests and if he thinks artists owe it to their fans to get involved with issues like Ferguson.

Additionally, we spoke to the MC about his roots in Queens and how it has informed his music, as well as what it's been like working with Cole. The Dreamville roster has more music set to drop this Fall, and Bas eluded to kicking off the top of next year with some new tracks. Check out the interview above.
