One Death Reported After Mad Decent Block Party in Maryland [UPDATE]

Reports from last night's Mad Decent Block Party in Maryland reveal that one attendee, 20-year-old Tyler Fox Viscardi, died after being rushed to the hospital. The Baltimore Sun reports that Viscardi was pronounced dead, and while a drug overdose is what officials feel is the cause, they are not sure what he was taking. His is not the only story coming out of the festival, though.

Word is that a 17-year-old is also in critical condition from an apparent overdose as well. As of now, there's no indication that this teen and Viscardi knew each other. There were also 20 hospitalizations reported, with indications that many of those might have been drug-related as well.

There were also three arrests, one for assaulting an officer, one for domestic assault, and the third for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Tack on the 50 citations that were handed out for underage drinking and you have a pretty full night for the police and security trying to keep attendees safe.

We really do hate hearing stories about this; the 2014 Mad Decent Block Party is the most ambitious edition in the festival's history, with 22 cities being booked, up from 2013's 13 different cities. We know, the bigger the festival, the more room for situations like this, but stories like these are the last things anyone wants to report on. This news is also coming on the heels of tonight's show being moved indoors last minute due to inclement weather:

UPDATE The AP is reporting that the 17-year-old who was in critical condition has died. An overdose is suspected, but they are waiting on toxicology results.
