No Debate Ep. 4: Bobby Shmurda's Future & Nicki Minaj Going Back to the "Old" Nicki

Our esteemed panel discuss the future of Bobby Shmurda, the impact of Young Thug this summer, and Nicki Minaj's approach to rap.

Welcome back to hip-hop's most heated war of words. On the fourth episode of Complex TV's "No Debate," our new host Peter Rosenberg is joined by Brian "B.Dot" Miller (Content Director, Rap Radar), Ernest Baker (Cultural critic and writer), Rob "Reef" Tewlow (Program Director, Shade45/SiriusXM), and Noah Callahan-Bever (Chief Content Officer and EIC, Complex).

The first topic to open up the show is the latest news on Trinidad Jame$, who parted ways with Def Jam after signing a reported $2 million deal with them back in 2012. This gives way to New York's new overnight success story, Bobby Shmurda, who like Jame$, signed a major label deal off the strength of one record in "Hot Nigga." The panel discuss whether Shmurda has a better chance to stay relevant.

Check out the full episode above, where they also argue about Young Thug's impact this summer, and Nicki Minaj's interesting musical approach to her upcoming album, The Pinkprint.
