Ever go through YouTube for hours watching random videos, only to stumble upon something that blows your mind? That happened to Twitter user @jose3030 earlier today. While watching David Letterman interview Rosie Perez on The Late Show (which is hysterical in its own right), he discovered that Letterman is the source for Funkmaster Flex's legendary "Funkmaster Flex Night" drop that he uses whenever he premieres a new song on Hot 97.
It happens at the 5:58 mark of the above video. Perez was talking about how she found an actor by going to a party Flex used to DJ at the Palladium when Letterman, sarcastic as always, repeated the event's name to make sure he understood properly. Eventually, Flex found this segment, sampled it, and has been rocking with it ever since.
