Beyoncé to Receive the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" and Perform at 2014 MTV VMAs

The 2014 MTV VMAs are going down at the Forum in Inglewood, California on August 24 live at 9 p.m. This morning, the network announced that Beyoncé will receive this year's "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award," and plans to hit the stage for an explosive performance. Bey will join the likes of Madonna, Beastie Boys, Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more to receive the prestigious award.

Bey, who leads the way in this year's nominations with eight, joins the already star-studded lineup of performers at this year's show which include Ariana Grande, Usher, Maroon 5, and more. This will mark Beyoncé's fourth time performing at the awards, and first since 2011 when she sang "Love on Top" and officially announced her pregnancy at the end of the performance.
