Didn't we tell you this might become the surprise EDM hit of the summer? Billboard reports that Ariana Grande and Zedd's "Break Free," which is taken from her forthcoming sophomore album My Everything, has hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Not only is this Ariana's first #1 on the Dance/Electronic chart, but it is also Zedd's first #1 (kind of surprised that "Clarity" and "Stay The Night" only hit #2). This is also the first #1 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart for both Ariana and Zedd, racking in 7.7 million streams in the U.S., with 64% of those streams coming from Vevo/YouTube. You can check out the official video for this single up above.

Elsewhere on the Electronic charts, Porter Robinson also scored a #1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart, with a surprising entry at #18 on the Billboard 200 chart for the release of worlds, which sold 13,000 units in its first week (his best). Porter's also impacting the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, with five tunes occupying spots (including album-opener "Divinity" at #35).

Been a great week for electronic music we told you would be doing well.
