The aftermath of the comments made about Blue Ivy Carter on yesterday's "106 & Park" have apparently led to the hiatus of the popular show. This afternoon, BET's Stephen Hill issued an apology about the comments and held the writers on the show to blame, not co-host Karrueche Tran. The rumor started on Twitter that the show was off the air after it did not appear at its regular time slot this evening:
Rumor Alert: The word on the curb is that 106 and Park is on hiatus. Writers and producers were fired for the #blueivy joke. 😳

A few minutes later Karen Civil tweeted that the show would not air for the remainder of week:
106 & Park is off the air for the rest of the week. #BlueIvy

"106 & Park" has been a staple of BET's programming for years, but it is possible that the wrath of the #beyhive have taken it off air for good. We'll keep an eye on this story as it develops.
UPDATE: Shad Moss tweeted that the "106 & Park" hiatus was "planned" and had nothing to do with the Blue Ivy controversy. He also mentions that the hiatus gives him time to film his role in the CBS drama "CSI":
Relax.... I just signed my contract w/ BET every tv show goes on hiatus.. We do this every fall. Gives me time to film CSI.
