DJ Snake's "Turn Down For What" is, without a doubt, a surprise success. It's one of those cuts that would obviously slay crowds who love trap and twerk, primarily because the "turn up" / "turn down" phrases have been so prevalent over the last year. We're definitely not sure if heads really expected it to a) get signed to Columbia, b) be DJ Snake's first top 10 tracks in the U.S., or c) ultimately go platinum in the U.S. this past March. Why not go back in and churn out this "Parisian Vision" of the smash, turning it into a main stage festival scorcher. Gone is the trap/twerk workout, in is the menacing four-to-the-floor beats. Ill tool for the summer months.
