Rising Miami musician Cris Cab first made waves in 2011, when his cover of Wiz Khalifa's "Black & Yellow" went viral. Since then, Cab's collaborated with a number of artists—Pharrell, Big Sean and Wyclef Jean, to name a few. This April, he finally dropped a his album, Where I Belong, which promptly took off overseas, all without making much noise here in his home country... yet. 

With the fans across the pond in his corner, it looks like his buzz in the U.S. is about to change, as he readies Where I Belong for a nationwide release. We caught up with Cab to discuss his beginnings in music, the experience of meeting and working with his mentor Pharrell, and he even bust out the guitar for an impromptu performance of his single "Liar Liar."
