Pharrell may be one of the most popular artists in the world right now, but doesn't really matter in Iran. Six Iranians were arrested Tuesday after they filmed a fan-made video of Pharrell's "Happy" and uploaded to the Internet.

Tehran Police Chief, Hossein Sajedina, ordered the arrests for the charges of "making an obscene video clip that offended public morals and was released into cyberspace." Apparently, men and women in Iran aren't allowed to sing and dance together. Skateboard P took to his Facebook page to bash the arrests, saying, "It is beyond sad that these kids were arrested for trying to spread happiness."

According to the Facebook page of one of the women in the video, it had been viewed 178,000 times before the arrests were made on Tuesday. The video is still up on YouTube, and can be viewed below. We will continue to update this story as it progresses.
