Rell The Soundbender is gearing up for a bigger summer then he's ever had. With a new EP - Gambozoo - dropping via OWSLA's free imprint NEST next week, the Panamanian badman delivered a steaming hot mini-mix to set the tempo. Not only does the mix of course feature a grip of IDs from Rell himself, but it features tunes from many of his contemporary inspirations like Juyen Sebulba (one of his collaborators), Skrillex, Alesia, Munchi, and David Heartbreak. Now if you're listening to this at home and thinking you're going to get the full effect, even with speakers, you're tripping. It's certainly taken me time to come to grips with this and while I don't get out as much as I once did, hearing these tunes on a big system and in the mix has really brought me to a new appreciation for the sound. Respect to Rell for saying no to the haters and genres and just delivering a BAD sound. Peep this and mark your calendars for Rell's EP next week on June 2.
