Producer and singer Doss's self-titled debut is a dreamy, electronic pop EP that listens like the first hopeful days of a new summer. Both a musician and visual artist, Doss dropped the EP via an immersive digital experience created in collaboration with LA design studio Oval-X. You can register for the ultra clean, light pink and lavender website at Dossworld.net and you'll get a free download from the Doss EP. Today its first single "The Way I Feel," gets a brand new remix from London producer Ana Caprix.
The remix paces down the original, giving Doss' vocals a more lush, emotive space to fill. You can still hear the '90s dance music Doss grew up on, but the remix propels it toward a spacey, futuristic realm that fits in with the website's aesthetic and EP artwork, also designed by Doss. Rife with feeling, the twinkling synths and subtle strings are balanced nicely with pop friendly drums and swooping transitions.
Listen to Caprix' remix below and check Dossworld.net for a free remix pack including this one, a remix by Life Sim (who is on PC music) and Recycle Culture, that drops next Monday. You can stream the EP out now on Acéphale in its entirety via Doss' Soundcloud.
