I can admit that I was late to Moody Good. I can admit that I had no idea who he was when I saw this Slum Village remix making the rounds the other day. I can also admit that I'd been looking for something to blow me away, and this has done that. I'm a huge J Dilla fan, and his work on the first Slum Village projects are things of legend, including the track "Fall In Love." I don't know how Moody Good decided to go all hypnotic heavyweight bass on it, but this works so goddamn well. So well. He slowed the original down a bit, ramps up all kinds of bass, and then just let's it fly. Headnods for days.

He's in good company as well; he's linked with Chase & Status' MTA and Skrillex's OWSLA, and will be dropping his album in June. Vibe out to this remix and then run back through his SoundCloud, as you're bound to catch some gems.
