Jimmy Johnson emerged on the scene within the last couple of weeks due to his single "Pray." The song was posted on the OVO blog, fueling rumors that the Toronto native was a new signee to Drake's OVO Sound label. Jimmy has now released his debut mixtape, In God We Trust. Entirely produced by Austin's Eric Dingus, the project showcases Jimmy's rugged rhymes, vivid descriptions, and command of melodies. Clocking in at 39 minutes long, the nine-song mixtape sounds cohesive from start-to-finish thanks to Dingus' efforts behind the boards. "Young nigga from the six but I got a global view," Jimmy says on "Northern Kings." With a solid opening entry like In God We Trust, these words could be proven true in the months ahead.
