In early March, DAD introduced you to Curses' Safer At Night, the late-night extension of Trouble & Bass. With a focus on the dark(er), different take on the electronic music scene, Curses has designed this imprint to cater to the more creative, adventurous side of the dance music late night lovers. Any good leader lets his example be the guide, so Curses kicks off this journey on the first release from Safer At Night, and it's a beaut. From the ultra-deep vibes of "Winter Talks" to the moody bounce of "Stalker," Curses properly displays SAN's ethos. It's the third track, "Slow Lights," is what Curses described as "a departure from beat driven sounds, and will be tracks with a more ambient style. [The third track] will maybe be something [that a producer is] not used to doing." He takes us on a cold, calculated ride without beats, but packed with so much emotion it can hurt. This single is available now via Beatport.
