Puffy Previewed His "1111" Project With Guy Gerber at the Red Bull Guest House

While there aren't many details regarding Puffy's latest foray into the dance music scene, it is interesting that he's linked up with Guy Gerber, who's gone from putting out records for John Digweed's Bedrock label and being signed to Sven Vath's Cocoon to now working alongside the mogul formerly known as Diddy on something called "1111."

While there aren't many details regarding Puffy's latest foray into the dance music scene, it is interesting that he's linked up with Guy Gerber, who's gone from putting out records for John Digweed's Bedrock label and being signed to Sven Vath's Cocoon to now working alongside the mogul formerly known as Diddy on something called "1111." Gerberg's Facebook doesn't give many details, but does say the following:

Meanwhile, he's embarked on his most unexpected project yet: an album with P Diddy, who hired him for some remixes and took him on more permanently after hearing the results. Now the hip-hop icon flies Gerber out to his studio in LA to work, where he gives him “2000% artistic freedom.”

Complex reports that Puffy had the following to say about "11 11": "I'm gonna warn you, it's not for everyone. If you're looking for that big drop, where you jump up and down like a pogo stick, this is not for you." Puffy likes to dance, so we imagine he'll be incorporating more of the grooves of dance music into pop-ready songs, given that Gerber's Facebook also mentions "remembering the importance of lyrics." Time will tell how this one plays out, but for now, check out this brief Instagram video that's serving as a preview to the project:
