The title of Keyshia Cole's new record "Rick James" featuring Juicy J is named after the funk legend from '80s, but her actual lyrics may be directed toward someone closer in her life. "Why does it matter now?/Who can do you better?/Feet up on your couch/Yeah, bitch, I’m Rick James," she sings, illustrating a relationship that's coming to an end because of deceit. This storyline seems to follow a real life scenario for Cole and her husband and NBA free agent Daniel Gibson, who reportedly split after Cole find out he was cheating. Regardless, Keyshia is definitely bringing a marked intensity on "Rick James" that hasn't been heard from her in a while. Check it out below.
