The DMV's GoldLink will be dropping a new project called The God Complex April 1. To give fans a taste of what's to come, he has released a short film for "The God Complex (When I Die)." The term "short film" might appear to overstate what is essentially a 150-second long music video, but it is a valid term to use for the Nathan R. Smith-directed clip. Starring members of Baltimore hip-hop collective 7th Floor Villains, the video starts with a shooting and then flashes back to the events that led to this shooting.

The song is GoldLink in his natural element, delivering rapid-fire rhymes over a slow, ambient instrumental from McCallaman, as he gets pensive about the future, a bleak future in which tomorrow is not promised.
