While down at SXSW, we caught up with the young Bishop Nehru. The 17-year-old New York rapper has been making waves the last few years Nehruvia mixtapes, but he's getting ready to take things into high gear this year. He's been working with the legendary MF Doom on an upcoming mixtape called Nehruvian DOOM. As if working with one legend wasn't enough, he's also got a co-sign from Nas who pulled Bishop on stage during his show at SXSW.
We talked to Bishop about working alongside Doom and how he doesn't fit in the current New York scene. Bishop also revealed how his love of the animated cartoon The Boondocks lead to discovering Doom's music.
Nehruvian DOOM is slated to drop later this year.
