The Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side, directed by John Ridley, who just won the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for 12 Years A Slave, and starring André 3000, will be making its U.S. premiere next week at SXSW. Two short clips from the film have been released ahead of its premiere, and they offer a pretty good idea at how Andre stacks up with the rock legend.
In the clip above, Hendrix is hanging out with Linda Ketih (played by Imogen Poots) in a lounge. He talks about his upcoming trip to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, and invites her to come with. The clip below finds both Hendrix and Keith again, this time in a meeting with Hendrix's future manager Chas Chandler (played by Andrew Buckley) in New York.
All Is By My Side screens on Wednesday, March 12th at Austin's Paramount Theatre.
