Skrillex Says He Has A Lot of "Bullets In The Chamber"

And you lot continue to wonder why we keep our eyes on the hip-hop scene. Earlier today, XXL posted an interview with Skrillex where he shed some light on meeting Mike WiLL Made It (which we noticed last month) and the collaborations he has on the way, including material with Chance the Rapper (which we've been speculating on since last summer).

Word from Skrillex is that his meeting with Mike WiLL was on some mutual admiration shit: "I was working on the Bangarang EP, and he had just showed me [Rihanna's] ‘Pour It Up‘ [with] a demo vocal on it, unmixed, and some of the Future joints that have been coming out,” Skrillex said via phone. “And he was just like, ‘What the fuck is this sound?’ And I was in his room like, ‘What the fuck is this sound?’ It was appreciation for each other, and it was just natural. I didn’t really know much about who Mike WiLL was other than some of that shit, and then I realized he was a self-made kid. He just had his whole crew with the Eardrummas, and created this whole collective of musicians that he grew up with. And it’s the same story we have with OWSLA my record label." In terms of the track they worked on with Chance, Skrillex mentions that "[t]he thing about it is that there are so many records that are being made right now—which is also exciting—and whether they come out tomorrow or a year from now, there’s definitely a lot of bullets in the chamber."

While that's not letting us know WHEN we can hear this material, he's definitely saying that material is on the horizon which has us VERY excited.
