U.K. singer Daley has made a bit of a name for himself across the pond, but he's picked up a few pretty impressive big-name fans stateside as well, working with artists like Pharrell and Nelly. With his smooth voice and tasteful lyrical approach, he could easily pick up quite a bit more traction. His debut album, Days & Nights, was released yesterday, and now you can check out the lyric video for its excellent, lovelorn single "Be."
Capturing the tension and confusion of reuniting with an old lover, it's a delicate, airy piece of R&B with keening guitars that call to mind Prince or The-Dream. With lyrics like "If we run out of things to say/I promise I won't make you feel bad, no/We'll just roll the windows down/Drive around this town and be" it's gentle and honest, and it will totally make you feel feelings if that's your thing.
