Olympic Snowboarder Jamie Anderson Says Nas' Record "I Can" Inspired Her Gold Medal Run at Sochi

She took Nas' words "I know I can" to heart.

Over the weekend, 23-year-old snowboarder Jamie Anderson won the gold medal in the women's slopestyle event at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. The Sochi Olympics as well as the gold medal are a first for Anderson, but hopefully they won't be the last for this talented snowboarder.

Following her win, Jamie Anderson spoke with ABC's Good Morning America, where she thanked family and friends for their support throughout her journey. Anderson also shouted out Nas and his 2002 record "I Can," a song she listened to before she competed that day. "It's just a very inspirational song to truly believe in yourself and know that you're capable of anything. If you work hard at it, you can. It's the truth."

Add this to the list of the God's Sons achievements. Nas' heartfelt response can be seen below.
