The Internet was abuzz yesterday after Music Machinery and The Echo Nest collabed on two maps boasting different information about each of the contiguous 50 states' favorite musicians. Engineer Randal Cooper responded by using The Echo Nest's Spotify data app (which you can use, too, right here. It's addictive.) to create his own map of each state's most ignored artists.
Peep the map above. Turns out Michigan isn't into Bob Marley, Texas has no love for Bon Iver and R. Kelly is repeatedly hated by multiple states. Are you surprised by your home state's choice?
