While there are no firm confirmations on a cause of death, or official confirmation of his death, word from people in Miami is that SonicC, who might be best-known for his massive single "Stickin" on Mixmash or his Hades EP on Dim Mak from last April, has apparently passed away. SonicC worked with everyone from Adam F and Steve Aoki to Crookers and Laidback Luke, and SonicC's music has been heard in places like Grand Theft Auto and MTV's The Real World. Rumors have it being the cause of a car accident, but again without official word on this, we only have speculation. We have reached out to his press agent and are awaiting official confirmation.

We will keep you posted on this story as it develops.

UPDATE We got confirmation from Techibeats that SonicC did in fact pass away. While this article does not name names, we are being told that it was via a fiery car crash. We imagine SonicC (real name Anthony Rodriguez) was one of the two found dead at the scene. Stay tuned, as we'll be updating this post as we received new details.

If you're asking yourself "who is SonicC," Main Course's Neoteric wrote this piece on how he came to know Neoteric, which details his rise over the last few years:

UPDATE The family of SonicC (real name Anthony Rodriguez) have asked that people sign this petition to have some kind of street lights added to the street in Miami that has been the source of numerous accidents and deaths in Miami. It only takes a second, and can mean the saving of lives down the road.

UPDATE To add on to the petition, here's a piece that NBC Miami did on "Killer Krome," the avenue that SonicC lost his life on. It features his family, who are speaking out and trying to help get this "death trap" made safer.
