Messinian is one of the most slept on names in the industry. He's been a destructive emcee for more than a decade, is a ferocious DJ, and has a heart of gold. His vocals on records for Excision, Datsik, Bare, AFK, Zardonic, and Mark Instinct getting serious exposure and netting him millions of plays. He continues to hustle though, and his ear for tunes constitutes him for consideration as one of bass music's greatest tastemakers.
He started to produce with Kezwick under the moniker Rise At Night, and spins records regularly, but we still love when he flexes in his lane by lending vocals to destructive tunes. Dirty Talk & Boy Kid Cloud-produced "Unruly" a couple of years ago, and Play Me decided to revisit this tune by releasing a stack of remixes that includes production from Inf1n1te, Init, Notixx, and Antics.
Baltimore's Rekoil absolutely slayed his rendition, creating an aggressive tune that brings us back to the sounds that led the mainstream bass movement a few years ago. We got our hands on the premiere for just this tune, but the full release is equally nasty. It will be out via Beatport on January 6.
