Chicago duo Louis The Child has been making noise for a minute, spending the last year crafting remixes, spinning at Spring Awakening, and much more before cultivating the EP now known as Dimensions for Prep School. If this EP does anything, it shows how infectious their music is, from the opening track "Embers" standing tall from the others within their genre to Luke & Skywalker's feature no the title track. For a debut EP, this is very promising material, expanding on the current trends with a slick blend of hip-hop influence that really opens doors for exciting new soundscapes. Not a total reinvention of the wheel, but more refreshing than what we've been used to by most of the old guard.
