Watch Lorde's New Music Video "Team"

From her debut album Pure Heroine.

Lorde releases the music video for "Team" off her debut album Pure Heroine. The song continues the theme of her hit single "Royals," which pokes at the frivolous lifestyles that many in society strive for. "Team" is a bit more positive in tone as Lorde describes a life where people don't have to worry about following the norm. "We live in cities you'll never see onscreen/Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things/Livin' in ruins of a palace within my dreams/And you know we're on each other's team," she sings on the hook. The video delivers a similar concept as misfit teens find comfort working with each other on the outskirts of town as opposed to joining regular society. The video is directed by Young Replicant, who's also worked on videos for The xx, Purity Ring, and M83.
