Stewart Bird is new to DAD. The FaltyDL-backed producer known as Brrd makes his debut with an edit of the Blueberry Recordings-released "Hail Di King." The track is a low-key burner with an primal percussive pace accented with dancehall flavor. Although the tune takes on a distinct Jamaican vibe with the lead vocals praising former Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie I, the tune actually was born out Bird's Brooklyn base. Benji B has recently been playing the tune exclusively on BBC and now you can get it yourself as the label is releasing it as a limited edition 7” with only 500 copies going up for sale as the label was set up, Falty says, to specifically release Brrd’s music.
